Senior Backend Web Developer

Folklore is seeking a Senior Backend Web Developer to lead the technical backbone of our most impactful digital experience projects. In this role, you’ll architect robust backend systems, guide technical decision-making, and translate complex business needs into scalable solutions. You’ll work across server management, custom API development, database design, and CMS engineering while partnering closely with frontend developers, designers, and project managers to deliver seamless, high-performing web experiences. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of backend development expertise, deep experience across multiple technology stacks, strong communication skills, and a passion for exploring new tools and platforms. This role requires in-person work at our St. Louis Park office at least two days a week.
